The piece is crafted from copper and is distinguished by its warm, golden-yellow enamel background, which is densely decorated with a repeating, stylized cloud or coin motif.

The focal point of the censer is a beautifully rendered pink lotus flower with bright green leaves and stems, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. The piece is further enhanced by its sculpted, gilded metal rim and base, which are cast with detailed, overlapping lotus petal and foliate designs.
