A large pair of stripped solid pine corbels dating from the late 19th century, once painted white and still retaining … Read more A large pair of stripped solid pine corbels dating from the late 19th century, once painted white and still retaining very minor remnants of white paint in some of the crevices. Beautiful form and details, the S-curved shape with scrolls at the top, the fronts covered in acanthus leaves with an acanthus-carved flange at the bottom. The shelves at the top measure 5 1/2" x 7 1/2", large enough to hold a nice pair of vases or figures. One is slightly more golden in color than the other. Both are in good condition for their age with crisp carving and are ideal flanking a mirror or painting. The recent addition of modern brackets on the backs make them easy to hang. See less
