Dating from the mid-to-late 20th century, this piece features a classic multi-lobed melon motif silhouette beautifully complemented by an ornate scroll border and substantial cast lobster-claw feet. The lid is crowned with a highly detailed, cast pineapple finial—the universal symbol of hospitality.

Crafted with a heavy-gage base metal, this chafing/entrée dish boasts an impressive, high-quality heft that perfectly mimics solid antique Victorian silver. It has been meticulously hand-polished to a brilliant mirror shine and is ready for use, display, or high-end event staging. Marked with the historic stylized crowned lion hallmark of the Sheffield Silver Co. on the underside (produced during their era under parent company Lifetime Brands). This heavy-gage piece perfectly marries mid-century American craftsmanship with traditional English Victorian design aesthetics. See less
