Small in scale, strong in expression. These vintage Mexican sterling silver earrings feature sculptural mask faces with angular brows, almond-shaped eyes, and open circular mouths. Curled side ornaments and a distinctive looped headdress complete the intricate design.
Bright raised surfaces contrast with darkened recesses, giving the faces depth and definition. Fitted with adjustable screwbacks for non-pierced ears.
Each earring measures approximately 1 inch high by 1 inch wide. Mexican silver markings - including 925 and Sterling - appear on the reverse, partially obscured by the fittings; the maker has not been identified.
Surface wear and tarnish are visible, consistent with age and use.
