The figure is rendered in a dramatic elongated pose, drawing inspiration from the sculptural traditions of ancient Greek and Classical art. The carefully modelled anatomy and impressive scale give the work a powerful presence, while the aged green surface accentuates the contours and creates the appearance of an established architectural bronze. Produced using the hot-cast bronze process, the sculpture is hollow cast yet remains substantial and heavy. Bronze construction makes it suitable for both interior and exterior display, where continued exposure to the elements can further develop the natural patination of the surface. The figure is mounted upon a contrasting square bronze base, which is bolted to the sculpture and bears an exhibition number. Measuring an impressive 137 cm in length, this is a significant statement sculpture suitable for a large entrance hall, gallery, garden, terrace, courtyard or classically inspired interior. Material Hot-cast bronze with green verdigris patina Measurements Length: 137 cm / 53.9 in Width: 38 cm / 15 in Height: 48 cm / 18.9 in Base: 38 × 40 cm / 15 × 15.7 in See less
