The circular sundial plate rests atop a substantial, tapered pedestal with a stepped circular base. Its beautifully aged iron surface displays variations of deep charcoal, oxidized brown, and warm rust tones, lending the piece the character of an established garden ornament. The sailboat gnomon introduces a nautical element without sacrificing the restraint of traditional garden design.

Particularly well suited to a coastal garden in Nantucket, Cape Cod, the Hamptons, or Palm Beach, this sundial would make a charming focal point within a boxwood parterre, along a gravel garden path, or positioned among hydrangeas and climbing roses. Equally appealing in an English country garden, where its architectural silhouette and weathered finish would complement aged stone, clipped hedges, and established plantings.
