This exceptional piece exemplifies the elegance of the early Art Deco movement, successfully merging traditional Chinese naturalism with a modern, simplified composition. It is a stunning and highly collectible example of high-quality antique rugs.

The dramatic field is rendered in a deep, lustrous navy, creating a striking and sophisticated backdrop for the vibrant botanical motifs. This saturated hue is highly sought after among collectors of blue color rugs, providing unparalleled depth and visual contrast against the wide, shimmering coral border.

Flowing branches laden with chrysanthemums, peonies, and delicate bamboo stalks cascade across the field, executed in subtle shades of salmon, olive, and pale gold. The design is deliberately asymmetrical, a hallmark of the period's departure from rigid classical symmetry, lending the piece a dynamic, painterly quality.

Woven from luxurious, soft wool, this textile offers both visual splendor and enduring quality. Its substantial dimensions classify it among desirable room size rugs, making it perfectly suited to anchor a formal living room or grand dining area, offering a timeless statement of refined taste.
