The vessel is finely cast from a purple copper alloy, featuring a deep, dark bronze patina. It is heavily decorated with archaic-style geometric motifs (Taotie patterns) across the body. The censer is flanked by two large, imposing handles sculpted in the form of dragons, and it rests on three sturdy legs shaped like mythical beast faces.

The domed lid features a beautifully sculpted finial in the form of a seated "Fu Dog" (guardian lion), a traditional symbol of protection and prosperity. Weighing over 1.3kg, this substantial piece has a commanding presence. It would make a sophisticated and auspicious addition to a bookshelf, a desk, or as a striking focal point in any Chinoiserie or Asian-inspired interior.
