This magnificent vintage Chinese porcelain vase is a stunning example of traditional Famille Rose (Fencai) craftsmanship, modeled in the classic "moon flask" (Bao Yue Ping) form.
The vase features a striking cobalt blue ground, heavily decorated with intricate, multi-colored scrolling lotus and vine motifs. The central circular cartouche (medallion) is finely hand-painted with a serene nature scene, depicting two red-crowned cranes among vibrant blooming peonies and rocks. The cranes are a traditional symbol of longevity and peace. The neck is flanked by two ornate, sculpted handles in the form of stylized ruyi clouds or dragons.
The base bears a red seal mark, indicating "Made in the Qianlong Reign." This is a highly decorative and impressive piece that would make a sophisticated addition to a display cabinet, or a striking focal point in any Chinoiserie or Asian-inspired interior.
