Classic 1950s "Sight Light" cantilever desk lamp, manufactured by the M.G. Wheeler Company and engineered by LeRoy C. Doane. This lamp is in remarkable vintage condition with original paint, parts and label. It is one of the the company's most desirable color variants in the muted avocado green and brass that were so popular in mid-century decor.
The Sight Light was celebrated as a hallmark of Atomic and Space Age American task lighting. This piece features a signature "flying saucer" shade designed to eliminate glare while casting warm, diffuse downward illumination. The cantilevered base still operates smoothly, allowing for precise task lighting.

Excellent vintage condition and fully functioning, with original paint, brass, and parts. Please see detail photos as part of condition report. Paint on the shade and base is original and free of chips. Minor scuffing near the switch. Brass shows warm natural patina and a few scratches. The brass arm and switch operate smoothly with appropriate gentle resistance. Retains original vintage Circle F turn-knob switch and period brass socket assembly in full working order. Original vintage cord and plug are supple, crack-free, and in proper working order. It is a standard Type A plug, but pre-1970s and therefore unpolarized. As with all vintage electrical items, having the lamp inspected or rewired by a qualified professional to meet modern electrical codes is recommended. May be disassembled for shipping.
