Expertly crafted from richly grained dark wood, likely walnut, the frame features a classic horizontal silhouette punctured by elegant architectural columns, hand carved fan/sunburst corner accents, stylized rosettes. The focal point is flanked by two beautiful, highly detailed circular figural relief plaques depicting classical cherubs in a raised relief style. At the center sits a premium thick, bevel-edged horizontal mirror plate that beautifully captures light. Originally designed as a stately overmantel mirror, sideboard backer, or architectural headpiece, this structural fragment offers incredible old-world presence. It is a stunning, heavily detailed piece perfect for a dramatic entryway focal point, living room accent, or custom design project. Good antique condition with a beautifully aged patina. The wood finish showcases a desirable fine craquelure texture and honest wear consistent with age. The original central mirror plate features authentic, subtle foxing and silvering loss that enhances its vintage character.

Note: Does not hang flush to the wall. Sits 1' away from wall. This is due to the way the mirror is mounted. I have included photos of the back. I have included this measurements in the overall measurements. See less
