An extremely rare, spectacular, and exceptional sculptural table or floor lamp, a masterpiece of Italian modernism dating back to the 1960s, attributed to the renowned painter and sculptor Ernesto Treccani. A unique piece of the highest artistic quality, it magnificently blends plastic art with the functionality of decorative lighting.
The work appears as an imposing column or totem with an organic silhouette, entirely hand-molded in polychrome ceramic with a splendid glossy glaze finish. The surface is characterized by a complex pictorial layering of abstract vertical streaks in shades of forest green, cobalt blue, coral red, and cream. The true visual highlight is the series of dramatic perforations and asymmetrical geometric slits that traverse the body: once the light source is inserted, they cast a suggestive play of light and shadow on the surrounding space. A period signature "Dante" is located under the base, certifying its artisanal craftsmanship. A true museum and gallery piece, perfect as a focal point in a design salon, a designer's studio, or to enhance important 20th-century ceramic collections.
