Newly wired with new brass backplates. E14 sockets. Two pairs are available, four individual sconces in total. Price listed is for one pair of two individual sconces.

The beautiful handcrafted glass leaves are made in the graniglia technique, from the Italian for small grains or grit, is a glass technique associated with Murano. Small fragments of glass are applied to the surface of hot glass and fused as the piece is worked, leaving a granular, frosted texture. Each grain catches and scatters light, which gives the glass its crystalline sparkle when lit. The grains are on the inside of the glass leaving the external surface completely smooth.

Attributed to Josef Brumberg of Sundern, Germany, on the strength of an identical pair we've seen bearing Brumberg marking. Leaf lights of this form are often sold under the names Orrefors and Carl Fagerlund. The widespread Orrefors attribution therefore appears to be an unsupported market attribution rather than a documented identification. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
