Antique, 19th-20th century, circa 1880-1920. Square shape with an openwork gilt metal gallery, a frieze of foliage, and substantial applied ornaments on the wooden base. The upper surface is made of white onyx. This is the upper part of a piece of furniture, now without its legs, and could be used as a decorative tray, display stand, etc.

30 x 30 cm, 8.5 cm maximum height. In good overall condition considering its age and the absence of the original legs. There are some traces of oxidation on the metal, light scratches on the onyx, and slight play in part of the metal rim, without any significant impact on functionality. Three corners of the onyx plaque have old, stable cracks, held in place by the metal frame and the wooden board sealed beneath the stone. These cracks remain relatively discreet. The fourth corner has a very small, discreet chip. Overall, it remains solid, harmonious, and highly decorative. Approximately 3 kg. See less
