This pair of rustic refectory tables or console tables, dating back to the early 19th century, expresses the authentic charm of popular Italian antiques and traditional rural furnishings. The linear structure highlights a solid, simple construction, reflecting the understated functionality typical of work or convent furniture of the period.
Each table features a rectangular top supported by straight, square-section legs, joined by a low H-shaped crosspiece for excellent stability. The original dark finish displays a natural, aged patina, with stains, signs of use, and small losses that attest to its historical authenticity.
