The design, strongly inspired by the classicism of the English Regency period and neoclassical proportions, features a rectangular top with a thin molded edge. Immediately beneath the sub-top band is a spacious single drawer, embellished with raised geometric frames that create a play of depth typical of elegant furnishings. At the center of the drawer is a circular ornamental knob in burnished bronze, finely chiseled with radiant floral motifs.
The most valuable structural element is the front uprights: splendid barley twist legs with a tight spacing, lending vertical momentum and baroque dynamism to the rigorous geometric structure. The supports terminate in elegant flattened onion-shaped feet that are sharply tapered at the top. The furniture is completed by a large lower open compartment with a low shelf, perfect for storing books or collectibles, supported at the back by linear uprights and open shaped sides with sinuous lines.
