Pair of antique Chinese blue-and-white porcelain plates, attributed to the late Qing dynasty, featuring bold cobalt-blue decoration on pale glazed grounds.
Each shallow plate measures approximately 9 inches in diameter and displays a striking radial composition of elongated, hand-painted cobalt motifs surrounding a deep blue central medallion. Rounded petal-like forms and multiple concentric borders frame the center, creating a graphic, symmetrical design.
The hand-painted decoration shows subtle variations in brushwork and cobalt intensity between the two plates. One plate bears blue Chinese character markings on the underside, while the other is unmarked.
With their distinctive geometric pattern and traditional blue-and-white palette, these antique plates work beautifully as a coordinated pair for wall display, open shelving, or a collected porcelain cabinet.
Approximately 9" diameter each.
Sold as a pair.
