After painting beautiful landscape in California and studying at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art in Van Nuys, and Kline Academy of Fine Arts in West LA for 20 years, she moved to Arizona for a new post-pandemic life in Chandler and then Pebblecreek, Goodyear AZ.

In Pebblecreek, she has exhibited year after year now winning first and third prize awards every November during the annual Fall show. The judges are unknown to the participants and come from prestigious academies and galleries of Scottsdale and other neighboring cities and states.

This colorful and unique painting started with plein-air studies in-situ during her visits to Monumemt Valley, followed by a large canvas finished painting at her art studio.
Vibrant colors and her pasión for painting in oil, makes this beautifully framed piece a great addition to any room.

The West and East Mitten Buttes are two famous sandstones formations located in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park on Arizona-Utah border.

From the south, they look like two giant mittens with their thumbs turned inward, and at sunset, the shadows fall over the land creating great moments for Pekín-air painters to do their studies in place and take photos to finish a larger painting later in the home studio.

A painting like this takes experience and a lot of time of loving dedication.
