The composition is executed in bold raised relief, with a powerful team of four horses charging forward while the chariot and figures create a strong sense of movement and theatricality. Inspired by the monumental sculptural decoration and narrative reliefs of classical antiquity, the piece has the appearance of an architectural fragment or museum-style antiquity. Cast in substantial reconstituted stone with an aged grey finish, the surface has been treated to emphasise the modelling and give the plaque an established, weathered character. At approximately 30 kg, this is a particularly substantial decorative piece with considerable visual presence. The reverse is fitted with wire hanging supports for wall mounting. An excellent architectural feature for a garden wall, courtyard, entrance hall, classical interior or traditionally landscaped property.
