The composition depicts three animated cherubic figures arranged together in a lively sculptural group. One cherub is shown drinking from a **cornucopia or horn of plenty**, while another extends its arms outward, lending movement and expressive character to the scene. The cornucopia, derived from the Latin *cornu copiae*, has been used since antiquity as a symbol of **abundance, prosperity and nourishment**, adding a traditional allegorical dimension to the composition. The figures are finely modelled with rounded classical forms and expressive poses, demonstrating the decorative quality associated with French bronze sculpture of the 19th century. The group is supported upon a restrained plain base, allowing the sculptural figures to remain the principal focus. The bronze is **signed “Barbier”** and bears the number **2329**. with a substantial **weight of approximately 3 kg**, the sculpture has an impressive presence and is particularly well suited as a decorative table, mantel or cabinet piece. Presented in very good antique condition with no noted damage or bruising. The bronze retains a beautiful aged patina that enhances the modelling and character of the piece.
