The original hand-made glass shade has a softly satin-frosted surface designed to diffuse the light evenly, creating a warm and atmospheric illumination. Its restrained form reflects the functional elegance characteristic of german mid-century lighting. The shade is secured within its original bronzed brass gallery, complete with decorative grab ring and original locking bolts. The fixture retains its original ceramic and brass e27 edison screw-fit bulb holder. A heavy-gauge bronzed metal suspension chain connects the gallery to the original substantial cast-brass ceiling plate, which incorporates subtle art deco-inspired detailing and its original grab ring. The fixture has been professionally inspected and rewired with period-appropriate fabric-braided cable, tested and presented in working order.
