The composition brings together overlapping passages of vivid colour and strongly defined abstract forms, creating a dynamic sense of movement across the surface. Huntermann’s confident application of paint and instinctive approach to composition give the work an immediate visual presence while inviting individual interpretation. Signed by the artist to the lower right and retaining an artist's label verso, the painting is a distinctive example of Huntermann’s modern abstract work. Robert Hunt, working under the name Spate Huntermann, was active within the British art community and served as President of the United Society of Artists from 2005 to 2008. He was also associated with the Dorking Group of Artists and Suffolk Open Studios and was known for his portraiture as well as his more expressive modern compositions. Presented within a contemporary mount and frame, Faundo is a colourful and engaging example of late 20th-century British abstract art, ideally suited to a modern or eclectic interior.
