Beautifully proportioned and richly decorated, the petite mirror features a carved giltwood frame crowned with a graceful ribbon bow, a classic decorative motif associated with French Neoclassical design.

The elaborate crest is embellished with flowing ribbon loops, a central knot, and cascading ends that extend across the upper portion of the frame. The oval surround is decorated with repeating geometric motifs, finely carved fluting, and delicate beaded detailing, creating an attractive combination of texture and symmetry. The original gold leaf finish has developed a warm, rich patina over time, enhancing the depth of the carving and the mirror's authentic antique character.
