Each has a barrel back with button-and-diamond tufting, channel-tufted rolled arms, and a boxed seat with piped edges. The upholstery is a woven chenille blend in chocolate brown and caramel, a small-scale diamond pattern that reads as a warm texture from across the room. Bulbous turned legs in a dark mahogany-toned finish stand on aged brass casters, so the chairs roll easily.

They are wide and low, built for sinking into. They would work as a pair flanking a fireplace, across from a sofa, or in a library, den or bedroom sitting area. The warm brown palette and the aged wood and brass give them an inherited-from-a-grandparent feel that suits both traditional and eclectic rooms.


Condition
Good vintage condition for a pair of chairs with some history. Please look closely at the photos.
Legs: noticeable wear, with finish loss, scratches and exposed wood on the turned legs. One front leg has a chipped base where the caster meets the wood and a repair is required to keep the caster in position. It will fall out when the chair is lifted.
Upholstery: tufting is intact and the frames feel sturdy. See less
