The slender, tapered fluted legs — the most recognizable hallmark of Louis XVI furniture design — rise with effortless grace to support the cool, veined marble top, while the delicately carved and gilded framework adds a quiet opulence that is never overwrought. The aged gilt surface has mellowed to a warm, softly burnished tone over the decades, lending the piece an authentic patina that speaks to genuine age and provenance. Sourced directly from France, this exquisite side table brings an irreplaceable touch of 18th century French neoclassical elegance to a drawing room, bedroom, or any interior that appreciates the finest in Continental decorative furniture.
