The rug features a warm coral-red field decorated with stylized medallions and symbolic motifs arranged in a balanced composition. Deep navy blue elements create a strong contrast, highlighting floral and abstract forms typical of Chinese decorative traditions of the era.

Hand-knotted in wool, the rug has a soft texture and a dense pile, offering both visual richness and durability. Its compact format makes it ideal as an accent piece, suitable for an entryway, bedside, or layered interior setting.

The rug shows visible age wear consistent with its 100-year history, including areas of pile reduction and light surface wear, which contribute to its authentic antique character and charm.
