Set against a rich deep blue field, the composition features graceful cranes in a naturalistic landscape, accompanied by delicate floral elements and water motifs. In Chinese symbolism, cranes represent longevity, harmony, and spiritual elevation, making this rug not only decorative but also culturally meaningful.

The design is beautifully balanced, with open space enhancing the visual impact of the motifs. The contrast between the luminous ivory figures and the saturated indigo ground creates a striking and sophisticated aesthetic.

Handwoven in wool, the rug displays a soft yet durable pile. Areas of age-related wear are visible, consistent with its age and use, yet the overall composition remains clear and highly decorative.
