Hand-decorated by a master factory artisan, this large-scale ovoid capsule is executed in the highly collectible Indian Basket pattern, a historic 1850s Chinoiserie motif featuring an intricate Japanese-style bamboo basket overflowing with vibrant multi-colored peonies and trailing asters. The brilliant white hard-paste porcelain body is split evenly along a precision-fitted seam line, bordered by a hand-applied geometric orange-red ribbon band woven with accent bows and polished 24-karat gold gilt detailing.

Styling:
This substantial statement large porcelain egg functions as an exquisite decorative anchor to elevate a bedroom dressing table, a luxury hutch shelf, or a formal dining room hutch arrangement. Its deep internal basin makes it highly practical to use as a jewelery lidded capsule or a bedside table accessories dish to safely house fine rings, luxury watches, and daily essentials. For high-end traditional displays, this grandmillenial decor object operates beautifully when nestled into a library bookcase or showcased as standalone chinoiserie mantlepiece decor, where the hand-burnished gold gilt borders catch ambient natural light and candlelight beautifully.

The Craftsmanship:
Entirely hand-cast and meticulously hand-decorated at the factory wheels in Hungary, this covered box carries the definitive hallmarks of fine European porcelain craftsmanship. The underlying base features a sharp, authentic blue underglaze Herend Hungary heraldic shield mark with crossed paintbrushes, alongside the handwritten shape and pattern code 6052 / FD, identifying it explicitly as their premium large egg box mold. Next to the coat of arms, the black handwritten number 19 serves as the individual master painter's studio sign-off. The thick, flawlessly vitrified porcelain walls give the box a substantial structural mass and a low center of gravity that sits perfectly balanced on fine wood sideboards or marble surfaces.

Cleaning and Care Guide
To safely safeguard the hand-applied 24-karat gold gilt accents and the delicate hand-painted enamel elements of this Hungarian porcelain piece, clean the surfaces gently using a soft, completely dry microfiber cloth to lift dust. Avoid washing the box with hot water, using abrasive scrubbing pads, or applying liquid chemical detergents, as harsh cleaning agents can erode the precious metal gilding over time. This item is strictly not suitable for automated dishwashers or microwaves. See less
