The impressive rectangular mirror is surrounded by an elaborate architectural frame composed of multiple decorative borders. The rich reddish-amber tortoiseshell-patterned panels create a dramatic contrast against the dark wood moldings and extensive gilded metalwork.
The frame is lavishly embellished with high-relief repoussé brass ornamentation, including scrolling acanthus leaves, floral rosettes, stylized shells, intertwining foliage, and intricately modeled decorative motifs. The ornamentation extends along all four sides, creating an exceptionally rich and dimensional composition.
