This impressive vase features the classic Tianqiuping (Globular / Heavenly Sphere) form, characterized by a tall, slender neck and a massive, perfectly round body. It is exquisitely hand-painted in the traditional Famille Rose (Fencai) palette against a pristine white background.
The main body showcases a vibrant and dynamic botanical scene featuring branches laden with large, plump peaches in shades of vivid pink and yellow, surrounded by lush green leaves and white blossoms. In Chinese culture, peaches are the ultimate symbol of longevity and immortality. Adding to the auspiciousness, a stylized red bat is depicted in flight among the branches. Because the Chinese word for bat (fu) sounds like the word for good fortune, bats are highly revered symbols of happiness and blessings. The painting is highly detailed, with realistic shading on the fruit and textured bark on the tree trunk.
