This classic jar features a full, rounded body and is topped with a matching domed lid and a delicate finial (knob). It is exquisitely hand-painted in the traditional Famille Rose (Fencai) palette against a pristine white background.
The main body is adorned with a vibrant, continuous botanical scene featuring large, lush peonies in shades of rich pink and pale green, intertwined with blossoming plum branches. Peonies are highly revered in Chinese culture, symbolizing wealth, honor, and prosperity. The shoulder is decorated with a striking cobalt blue band featuring intricate scrolling vines and geometric patterns, while the base features a colorful lappet (petal) border. The lid echoes the body's floral design, creating a harmonious piece.
