This substantial vase features a classic baluster form with a flared rim, a sturdy base, and two stylized sculpted handles on the neck. The most captivating feature is its beautiful Celadon glaze, in a soft, pale sage green. The entire surface is covered in an intricate, intentionally created "crackle" (Ge) glaze pattern—a delicate network of dark lines that resembles shattered ice or fine spiderwebs.
This crackle effect is a highly revered traditional Chinese ceramic technique, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and natural textures. The rim is finished with a distinct brown/gold slip, providing a striking contrast to the pale green body and adding to its antique, rustic charm.
