This striking vintage round box is a superb example of traditional Chinese carved lacquerware (Tixi/Tihong). Crafted with layers of rich, deep cinnabar-red lacquer, the lid is deeply and intricately carved in high relief. The design features lush, scrolling leaves and large blossoms surrounding three central textured fruits, likely representing lychees or peaches—traditional symbols of abundance, fertility, and good fortune. The sides of the box are equally detailed, carved with continuous scrolling patterns. The deep red color is beautifully highlighted by the natural wear and subtle shine of the aged lacquer, giving it a warm, tactile, and historically rich character. This elegant box is perfect for storing small treasures, jewelry, or simply serving as a stunning decorative accent on a vanity, desk, or coffee table.
