They are carved … Read more This is a pair of monumental French neoclassical style carved giltwood orangery planters attributed to Christopher Guy. They are carved mahogany with hand applied gold leaf. In addition to being very large, they have a Demilune form. These display the expert craftsmanship indicative of a Christopher Guy jardiniere. They have turned feet and are flanked by carved columns. Each planter has deep relief and pierced carved center rosettes. They are unmarked and in very good vintage condition. See less
