The upper section features a pair of doors opening to reveal two adjustable shelves, providing generous and adaptable storage. The shelves can be repositioned to accommodate items of varying heights, making the cupboard particularly versatile. Two central drawers provide convenient storage for smaller household items, while the substantial lower compartment offers further concealed storage and completes the beautifully balanced façade. The cupboard retains its original brass handles and fittings, providing attractive period detailing and complementing the warm tones of the oak. Particularly appealing is the oak itself, displaying pronounced natural grain and attractive figuring throughout. Rich, warm colour and an appealing aged patina give the timber considerable depth and character while highlighting the quality of the construction. Very well made with a reassuringly solid construction and presented in very good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. with its combination of adjustable shelving, drawers and substantial lower storage, this is an exceptionally practical piece. Its elegant French character makes it suitable for use as a linen cupboard, pantry cabinet, book cupboard or general storage cabinet within a dining room, kitchen, bedroom, hallway or country-house interior. Please note that the cupboard is of single-piece construction and does not dismantle. Its substantial dimensions should therefore be considered carefully when planning access and transportation.
