Each tile features a richly glazed surface with the flowing forms and stylised decoration characteristic of Art Nouveau design. Displayed together, the ten tiles create a particularly attractive architectural composition, ideal for use within a period fireplace or as decorative elements in an interior restoration project. The glazed surfaces retain an attractive lustre and depth of colour, giving the tiles considerable decorative presence. All ten examples remain intact and are presented in very good antique condition. There is some light crazing to the glaze, entirely consistent with age and typical of antique glazed ceramics. This subtle ageing adds character without detracting from the overall appearance of the set. A particularly appealing collection of original period tiles, ideal for restoring an Art Nouveau or Edwardian fireplace, incorporating into an architectural project, or displaying as decorative ceramic works in their own right. Material: Glazed ceramic Period: Late 19th–Early 20th Century Style: Art Nouveau Condition: Very good antique condition with light age-related glaze crazing Quantity: Set of 10 tiles Type: Fireplace / architectural tiles See less
