Executed in bronze and mounted upon a substantial marble base, the composition combines the graceful female form with the streamlined profiles of the dogs. The contrasting surfaces of patinated bronze and polished stone give the sculpture considerable visual presence from every angle. At approximately 61 cm high and weighing around 67 lb (30.4 kg), this is a substantial decorative sculpture ideally proportioned for a console, pedestal, large sideboard or centrepiece display. A dramatic statement piece for an Art Deco interior and an attractive interpretation of one of the period's most recognisable figural compositions.
