Each stag stands proudly with its head raised and an impressive set of branching antlers, creating a dramatic symmetrical composition when positioned together. The opposing poses make them particularly effective for flanking a driveway, gateway, entrance or garden pathway. Standing an impressive 154 cm high and weighing approximately 100 kg each, these are exceptionally substantial sculptures with tremendous presence. Their heavy cast iron construction provides excellent stability and the traditional character associated with grand English architectural and garden ornament. Often referred to as “Skyfall” style stags, the pair has a strong country-estate aesthetic and would look particularly striking positioned on gate piers, substantial stone plinths or directly within a landscaped garden. The detailed modelling captures the distinctive form of the stag, from the branching antlers and alert facial features through to the muscular body and slender legs. Outdoors, the cast iron surface can naturally develop additional weathering and patination, further enhancing their character.
