The composition centres on an elegantly modelled reclining nude female figure, capturing the stylised glamour and fascination with the human form characteristic of french decorative arts during the art deco period. The figure is incorporated into the substantial bronze-toned structure, while the green glass shade provides a dramatic contrast to the warm patinated metalwork. When illuminated, the coloured glass creates an atmospheric glow and emphasises the sculptural qualities of the lamp. With its combination of figurative sculpture, decorative metalwork and coloured glass, the piece functions as both an art deco sculpture and an atmospheric table light. Its generous 41 cm height and approximately 35 cm width give it considerable presence on a console, side table or substantial desk. The lamp retains a b22 bayonet-fit bulb holder and has been professionally rewired.
