The stag is depicted in a classic proud standing pose, with its head raised and magnificent branching antlers creating a commanding silhouette. Combining the traditional symbolism of the Highland stag with a more modern treatment, the sculpture works beautifully within both classical country-house interiors and contemporary design schemes. At approximately 72 cm high, this is considerably larger than the typical decorative interior animal sculpture, giving it excellent presence when displayed on a console, pedestal, substantial sideboard or within an entrance hall. The sculpture forms part of a limited edition of only 200 examples and is individually signed and numbered 1/200, making this the first numbered example from the edition. A handsome statement sculpture with strong decorative appeal, particularly suited to a library, study, entrance hall, country house, lodge or sophisticated contemporary interior.
