The chest is fitted with six graduated drawers, ascending in size and providing an impressive amount of storage despite the piece's compact footprint. Each drawer retains its original wooden knob handles, complementing the simple and understated character of the pine. A raised gallery to the top adds an attractive architectural detail while enhancing the traditional appearance of the piece. Below, the chest stands on a solid plinth base, giving it a sturdy and well-balanced presence. The pine displays particularly attractive natural grain, warm colouring and established character throughout. Its gently aged appearance contributes to the relaxed farmhouse aesthetic and gives the chest an inviting decorative quality. One of the most desirable aspects of this piece is its unusually narrow form. At only 48 cm wide and 33 cm deep, it provides substantial vertical storage while requiring very little floor space, making it particularly suitable for smaller rooms. Its versatile proportions would work beautifully in a bedroom, dressing room, hallway, cottage or country-style interior, where it could provide useful storage without overwhelming the surrounding space. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 20th-century origin. A particularly attractive and functional piece of vintage furniture, combining six graduated drawers, original wooden handles, a raised gallery, warm natural pine and space-saving proportions within a timeless farmhouse design.
