Very well made and of good quality, the chairs have pleasing proportions and considerable traditional character, making them particularly well suited to period, country house and traditionally styled dining interiors. Each chair features a beautifully carved top rail, with finely executed detailing providing an attractive decorative focal point to the back while demonstrating the craftsmanship invested in the set. The chairs are fitted with removable drop-in seats upholstered in an attractive pink and white fabric. The removable construction makes the seats particularly practical and allows them to be easily reupholstered in a different fabric if desired. Each chair is raised on distinctive barley twist front legs, one of the most appealing decorative features of the set. The legs are united by supporting stretchers, creating a sturdy and well-balanced construction suitable for regular use.
