The bureau features a traditional fall-front opening to reveal a beautifully fitted interior arranged with a selection of small drawers and compartments, providing useful organised storage for stationery, correspondence, documents and writing accessories. When lowered, the fall-front provides a generous writing surface positioned at a comfortable desk height of 73.5 cm, allowing the piece to function as an attractive and practical writing desk. Beneath the writing section is a useful full-width drawer, providing additional concealed storage. The bureau retains its original handles and fittings, preserving its established character and complementing the warm tones of the oak.
