The chest incorporates three generously proportioned drawers, providing excellent practical storage while maintaining a clean and elegant façade. Each drawer is fitted with attractive decorative brass handles, creating a refined contrast against the warm golden tones of the oak. The piece is raised upon traditional bracket feet, providing a strong and stable foundation while complementing its classic English form. Particularly appealing is the golden oak itself, displaying pronounced natural grain and attractive figuring throughout. Rich honey and golden tones give the timber considerable warmth and depth, while an appealing aged patina enhances its authentic period character. Very well constructed and presented in good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. At 91.5 cm wide, this is a particularly versatile chest, providing useful storage without requiring excessive floor space. Ideally suited to a bedroom, dressing room, hallway or living space within traditional, country-house or contemporary interiors. Dimensions: Height: 79.5 cm Width: 91.5 cm Depth: 51.5 cm See less
