Well made and of good quality, the dresser offers an excellent combination of open display space and concealed storage, making it particularly suitable for a kitchen, dining room, living room or traditional country interior. The upper section incorporates two generous open shelves, providing an attractive setting for displaying china, ceramics, glassware, decorative objects or treasured collections. Below the shelving are two useful drawers, both retaining their original handles and fittings and providing convenient storage for cutlery, linens and smaller household items. The lower section incorporates a spacious double-door cupboard, offering ample concealed storage for crockery, tableware and other household essentials. The dresser is raised on elegantly turned legs united by a substantial supporting stretcher. This creates a lighter and more decorative appearance while providing a strong and well-balanced foundation for the cabinet above. The oak displays beautiful natural grain, rich warm colouring and attractive tonal variation throughout. Its matured appearance gives the dresser considerable character and complements the traditional form particularly well. The combination of open shelving, practical drawers, generous cupboard storage, turned legs and original fittings creates a highly functional piece while retaining the decorative charm associated with traditional Edwardian furniture. Standing an impressive 184.5 cm high, the dresser provides considerable vertical storage and display capacity while maintaining pleasing and balanced proportions. For easier transportation and installation, the dresser separates neatly into two principal sections. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 20th-century origin.
