The fixture features a strong art nouveau-inspired silhouette, centred around a large graduated circular brass wall plate and sculptural projecting carrier. Its original flared bell-shaped shade is formed from ribbed opaque glass with an unusual splatter-tinted finish, giving the light considerable character both illuminated and unlit. The shade is held within its original period brass ventilated gallery, complete with locking bolts and a decorative staged conical base. An original brass b22 bayonet-fit bulb holder completes the fitting. Designed with versatility in mind, the sconce can be installed with the shade facing either upward as an uplighter or downward, making it particularly adaptable for hallways, bedrooms, living spaces or decorative architectural interiors. The fixture has been fully wired, earthed and tested and is reported to be in excellent working order.
