The sculptural terminals give the set a strong historical character, drawing inspiration from the Apostle spoons traditionally produced in England from the Tudor period onwards. The substantial bowls and richly detailed figural terminals create an impressive balance between practical table silver and decorative craftsmanship, making the set particularly appealing for both use and collection. All four spoons bear identical **London hallmarks for 1897**, together with the maker’s mark for **Josiah Williams & Co.**, associated at this period with George Maudsley Jackson and David Fullerton.
