The lamp features an elegant elongated glass body in vibrant orange-red tones, decorated with stylised black palm-tree motifs and gilt detailing. The imagery reflects the widespread fascination with Egyptian and exotic decorative themes that influenced European design during the interwar Art Deco period. Above sits a striking hand-moulded glass shade with an unusual tiered bell form. Swirling coral-red decoration runs through the pale satin glass, creating a dramatic marbled effect that becomes particularly atmospheric when illuminated. The shade is complemented by brass fittings and an ornamental upper finial. Compact yet visually distinctive, the lamp was conceived as decorative boudoir or accent lighting and works equally well today as a statement table, bedside or console lamp. The lamp has been professionally rewired and tested and is reported to be in full working order.
