The design displays the flowing naturalistic ornament associated with Art Nouveau, with beautifully cast floral decoration extending across both the hood and main body. Elegant fluted side panels are further embellished with trailing flowers, creating a balanced architectural composition with considerable decorative presence. The quality of the casting is particularly evident in the crisp definition of the flowers, foliage and architectural details. The integrated combination form brings together the mantel, surround, hood and fire opening within a single cohesive design. Importantly, the fireplace retains its original mantel top, preserving the integrity and character of the original composition. The cast iron has been fully refurbished and finished using traditional black grate polish, producing a rich gunmetal appearance that accentuates the depth and definition of the floral decoration. Two matching fireplaces of this design are available, as shown in the photographs. They are offered individually, and the listed price is for one fireplace only.
