Each lion is modelled in a proud seated pose with an imposing expression and richly detailed flowing mane. Their strong symmetrical forms give the pair a distinctly classical and stately character, making them particularly effective when positioned either side of a doorway, driveway, staircase or gate. Crafted from cast stone blended with crushed marble, the sculptures have a substantial weight and attractive pale stone appearance reminiscent of carved marble. Their durable construction makes them suitable for year-round exterior display, while the refined finish also allows them to work beautifully within large interior spaces. Standing approximately 80 cm high, these are generously proportioned sculptures with excellent presence. They can be positioned directly at ground level or raised upon architectural plinths or gate piers for an even more dramatic effect. A handsome pair of guardian lions ideally suited to a country house, luxury residence, hotel, formal garden, terrace or grand entrance setting.
